I am in LOVE with all the succulent gardens that are popping up everywhere. They are just beautiful. The muted colors and the small sizes make a succulent garden the perfect quick project for a Sunday afternoon.
Inspiration
One of the reasons I decided to make a garden was because I had this cool old container that used to hold dried flowers. The flowers were so dust laden that there was no hope of saving them! So, my husband took his great compressor and literally blew all of the dust off of the twig box for me!
Supplies
This old twig container inspired me to find some good earthy green colors to top it off. Even though real succulents are easy to care for, I decided to use faux succulents. For this project, I used several different types of faux succulents, some florist greenery foam, and dried moss to complete this project.
Next, I trimmed the ‘stems’ of the succulents and tried placing them as close together as I could, and in many different angles. What a beautiful result. Finally, I added moss in the spaces between the foam and the container, to make it look as full as possible.
I hope this project inspires you to find an unused container and make it into something new!
