It is the end of yet another school year. If you are like me, it is usually a scramble to find a suitable gift for the teacher that has been with your child daily for the last nine months! Teachers do amazing things with the young minds of our kids, and thanking them for their tireless hard work is important.
My sister created this beautiful gift for her son’s teacher and it is so amazing that I thought I would share it. This is truly a quick and easy teacher gift!
All you need to make this is a Cricut machine, a bag, some iron on vinyl, and the cut file! Everything except the cut file can be purchased locally, or through the links I have provided below. This project involves purchasing and downloading the cut file from etsy (an svg file), loading it onto your Cricut account, cutting it out with your Cricut, and ironing it onto the bag. Very simple and easy!

Supplies needed:
- Your Cricut machine
- A cute bag like this one
- Some iron-on vinyl to match the bag
- This adorable svg file
Download the svg file, then upload it to your Cricut account. Add it to your canvas, resize it to the correct dimensions for the bag size that you are using. Click on ‘Make It’. Put the iron-on vinyl on your Cricut mat. Make sure you choose iron-on for your material type, and then cut!
When the cut is finished, use your weeding tool to remove the negative areas of the vinyl, leaving just the words and arrow. Place the remaining iron-on design on your bag. Line it up perfectly, and then use your iron at the settings indicated in the vinyl instructions. Carefully peel off the plastic after the iron-on design has cooled. And viola! A great gift and sentiment for any teacher!
Here is the finished bag as my sister made it. The glitter iron on vinyl is beautiful and a perfect match for the bag colors. This can easily be created for a male teacher with different colors and maybe not so much glitter! Feel free to add goodies to the inside of the bag, like gift cards for coffee, a mug, some school supplies that the teacher won’t have to use their own money for next year, etc.
I believe that teachers need our support! A small gift such as this bag expresses our gratitude for their impact on our children and hopefully is a small reminder every time they use the bag that what they do matters to us!
Thank a teacher!
