Thank you everyone for coming out to visit me and my pallet projects at the Farmers Market today! It was so much fun to see everyone and the weather turned out to be fabulous!
There is lots of interest in my pallet projects where one side is a scarecrow and the other side is a snowman. This becomes a multi-season decoration and is a great value!
We used pallets to make these guys! We just cut right through all the nails and left them in there for a great visual effect. The boards are sanded and we added a diagonal board for the hats! I used watered down acrylic paints for the hats and faces. The eyes, nose and mouth are painted with normal acrylic paints. I used glossy polyurethane spray to cover the whole project and protect it from weather. Then I added straw, berries, sunflowers and a scarf to top them off!
They sold out very quickly!! I will be back at the Farmer’s Market in two weeks and will bring more! I am also working on pumpkins, the Grinch and a few other goodies!
Feel free to contact me with any special requests!

Those are cute! I love the fact that they are reversible. That makes decorating so easy – just a flip of the wrist.
