The Cricut Maker is awesome! I mean, amazing and powerful and awesome. And it has earned a nice spot in my craft room, right out in the open for all to see – ok – really for me to look at every time I walk into my craft room. It is a thing of beauty. And it needs protection. From dust. Luckily, as a Cricut Access member, there is a free pattern to make a Cricut Maker Dust Cover! Per-fect!
In another project, I made an ovenmit using a pattern designed for the Cricut Maker by Simplicity. This ovenmit pattern is made and designed by Cricut. It was fun to learn to use the Cricut Maker with Simplicity. The product turned out great! You can see it all here!

The Cricut Maker Dust Cover instructions were a little difficult to follow. I am not an excellent sewer, (is that a word?) but I am able to follow a pattern relatively easy. This pattern was not so easy. I read it over about three times and then decided to just jump in and see what happens!
Well, once I got started, it went really well! Watching the Cricut Maker cut out all the pieces – precisely – gives me the giggles. Seriously! Look at all the pieces cut out and labeled.
Constructing the Cricut Maker Dust Cover was not too difficult, and the final project is fabulous.
Final Touches
One of my favorite parts was embellishing my dust cover. I used my Cricut Maker to cut out an iron-on Cricut symbol for the top of my dust cover. Then, I also added some ric-rac, and some gems to the Cricut antenna! I absolutely love how the final project looks!
